A new addition to the family

taryn kent photography - oh my...how fun! i'm so obsessed with vintage cameras! :D great shot of it too!

Nik Nack

While in South Africa we had the pleasure of meeting Rich’s cousins new baby girl Nikita. She was only a few weeks old and such a doll. Rich snapped some photos of her daddy giving her a bath and I had a blast putting them into this fun little collage. I’m so proud of myself for learning how to make bubbles in Photoshop!
Enjoy the little munchkin!

Deb - Those turned out SO well! Great work on the bubbles too. :-)

taryn kent photography - what a cutie! love your collages... and those bubbles are adorable.

Lee-Anne Mack - I know i am biased but thats the most beautiful baby i have ever seen;) Love the collage!

African Adventures

Ok first I must apologize for the total lack of posts. We have a lot to catch up on from our trip to South Africa over the holidays and our new home!  Right before we left on our trip we closed escrow on our house and things have been crazy around here to say the least.  We have a lot more work ahead of us but at least we have access to our computers finally!

I’ll start off with some shots taken during our trip to Kruger National Park.  This never gets old for me.  Seeing these animals in their natural habitat is nothing short of magical.  We hope you’ll come along on our journey to South Africa…

This guy was just hanging out in our camp…we watched him fly from tree to tree for a bit before Rich snapped this shot

This guy looks like he’s talking to us, “Good Morning!”

Pure beauty…

I have a thing for Zebra, they really are magical and so striking

Last trip we had hyena come up to our porch at camp to scavenge anything left over on our braai (barbecue). I remember as we were cooking on the braai we would shine our flashlights out into the bush and catch the reflection of their eyes. I swear every time we shined the flashlight they’d just get closer and closer. Soon after we finished cooking and brought our food inside to eat we peeked out the window and sure enough they were on our porch hunting for scraps. Pretty scary. This trip was a little different, this one was on the side of the road nursing her newborn cubs. It was really fantastic to watch.

I’ll leave you with those. Much more to come! Thanks for hanging around!

taryn - oh i love these... makes me want to go back there!! i can't wait to see some more :) that impala one is a great shot.

Lyndsy - Great shots! The hyena's are scary, but what a great capture. Love the antelopes!

Up North

We spent the Thanksgiving weekend with family in Northern California where we got to experience actual Fall weather.  Gorgeousness.  Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday!

Brotherly Love – Nico & Carlo

So I was super nervous for the shoot – I thought for sure these two brothers were gonna be over us before we even showed up. They were really good sports and it wasn’t until the end of the shoot that I think they were over us – or maybe over each other. Boys will be boys…so many favorites in here so let’s go!

Throwing things at your little bro – that’s what big brothers are for, right?

NC

See? We started off all smiles

Added a few laughs…(This one below is a TOTAL favorite – it’s moments like these that remind me why I love photography SO much)

Such a cool wall!

This is another favorite of mine captured by Rich

Straight outta the Urban Outfitters catalog :)

We ended our session at Ponto by sneaking up onto the lifeguard towers and watching the surf competition Thank you to Nico & Carlo for putting up with us all day and for Bernie who asked us to shoot her two (rad) boys (BTW – Bernie, you may just be the coolest Mom EVER :) )

Leave us a comment and let us know what you think!

Lyndsy - These brothers are so cute! I love all of them. Such stylish bros!
